Re: Dinsey's Wreck-It Ralph: A love-letter to videogames
Brave was much better than Tangled . I'd say it was better than Monsters Inc , too. Mostly since I think Monsters Inc was a twee and watered down version of Aaah! Real Monsters that was glopped in tons of eye-burning pastels. Like if Aaah! Real Monsters had been invaded by Furbies. It looked like a...

I like the concept that a hardcore game is, by definition, one with zombies in it.

When a restaurant gives you a choice of sauces to go with a meal, they're being disrespectful to that meal.
Right.
Right.

Re: Super Sonic Galaxy
Given that we got the stupid Werehog leak like over a year before Unleashed shipped, and that Nintendo and SEGA have "worked" together on Smash Bros and Sonic and Mario (and that the Wii U sounds like a bitch to develop for), I don't find any of this hard to believe. Also, I was quite right that SEG...

Re: Sonic 4 Episode 2 Not to Come until 2012
I think they're trying to make Metal Sonic the main antagonist of Episode 2 and 3. But it's still shit marketing to try to tie their crappy game into a better one that's mostly unrelated.

I got bored of Scribblenauts when the game turned into a mess of bad escort missions, the majority of which could be solved with two items: shrinking ray and a bag. There was no Enlarging Ray, I hope you enjoy your six-inch wife I lugged here in my backpack.

There are people who passionately defend Silver? I actually kinda like Silver (mostly because of his adjacentness to Blaze, the only character created after Knuckles I give a shit about and an ok game gimmick), and I can't ever think of anyone besides myself ever saying anything good about him.

I wonder what the Fans! webcomic will do, since they set him up as being the next major antagonist, devoted to ironically ushering in a stylish 1984 dystopia where he controls all the media in the world?

Why are people rioting? I read a couple articles pointing to an instance of police brutality inciting the masses but beyond that, nothing. Can anyone from the UK explain? Given my knowledge of the political climate of Europe and England, I'm willing to venture a guess that people wish to express th...

Re: Let's boycott Marvel!
Zeta, the point is that what Marvel is doing, and has been doing for forty years, is wrong. Would you list the reasons why morality is a moot point? The fact that: 1) This won't help anyone and will only hurt a vast number of people who were likely not even born when these policies were put into pl...

CA is the best movie with a Marvel property ever made, btw, and I don't even care that much for Captain America as a character.

That was my first thought too, but realize that Kirby was being actively screwed by Marvel throughout his career. He worked for them on three separate occasions (creating Captain America in the 40's, the rest of the characters mentioned above in the 60's, and returning briefly in the 70's) and left...

But I don't believe creator rights and royalties should stick around after the creator dies in the first place. That's how we got stuck with the copyright law that states nothing goes into the public domain unless Mickey Mouse says it's OK.

Re: Amazing Spider-Man Teaser Trailer
. . . do you even read Spider-Man? Half of the appeal is Peter Parker's sense of humor.Pssh, humor is just so 90s. Which begs the question, when there are about 2,000 other heroes in Marvel's pantheon, why go with Spiderman if you're not going to play him straight? Again?

I thought BioLizard was a giant space flea from nowhere myself. Didn't have really any foreshadowing (heh) enough at all to make it a credible threat late-game.

Sonic the Pagemaster 3
A SEGA rep has confirmed that Sonic and the Secret Rings and Sonic and the Black Knight were two entries in a trilogy, the third of which will arrive sometime in the future. Thus the so-called "Sonic Storybook" series will be complete. This information was gleaned during a public chat with SEGA Mex...

People don't watch that movie for Remy, they watch it for Gusteau, Colette, and Ego. Not sure how you can argue that Incredibles had weak characters, though. If you want to talk about weak, forgettable characters, you don't get much more so than Remy.

Derp. I meant Flintstones episodes like the "Man Named Flintstone" or whatever. I hated those episodes as a kid - and there was at least like one a season. Fred Flintstone is not a spy, damnit!

Re: Toy Story ep 4: The Plastic Menace.
Wow, I'm surprised how overwhelmingly bad the reviews for Cars 2 have been. I had hoped it would at last be remotely watchable. From the descriptions of the plot, it sounds like those stupid Simpsons episodes where Fred is mistaken for one of about 1000 super spies that happen to look exactly like h...
