Only one of the Ice Climbers (I think it was the pink one) was your "real" character. If that one died you lost a life. Actually, it was the blue. The pink was the 'drone' character. You're right about the rest, though. If the blue IC was knocked out of commission, you lost a life. I hope they brin...

As much as I hate to admit it, this gives me another reason to own a PS3. That makes three so far. What are the other two? Heavenly Sword is like 5 hours long, Lair apparently sucks, fl O w is a neat mini game not worth a 600 dollar console. What am I missing, future titles? Yep. Little Big Planet ...

Being able to customize which song plays where is a very nice feature!

The fact that you have to 'collect' all of the CDs in order to use them is something of an annoying factor, but I suppose it'll keep the player coming back time and time again to 'complete' their collection.

I don't. The monster's head is 'opened', as if a zipper had been drawn. However, the hole made with opening also serves as the mouth. It's almost delightfully bizarre. And, yeah, the Silent Hill movie wasn't as bad as it could've been - once the plot with the psychotic Christian witch-burners came ...

I've gotta admit that once I heard the developer was The Collective, my interest waned... ... but the recent EGM article made me somewhat hopeful again, though not entirely. The Good: Alex doesn't look terribly bad as a main character. No forced FPS perspective: they're sticking with a more flexible...

My PC sucks far too much to run the game, so I opted for the Xbox 360 version. Safe to say, it's pretty awesome, though I think the presentation (art-deco style graphics, music, et al) is the best part of the package. But then, I've been waiting on a follow-up of some sort to System Shock 2 since 19...

MP2 could be frustrating (what with the ridiculous amount of backtracking and all) but never was it vomit-inducingly difficult.

Anyhow, I'd be up for MP3 but I still lack a Wii and I've already spent far too much on BioShock and Persona 3 (both worth the purchase, by the by).

I noticed a lot of GameFAQers were whining that they should've used the Andross seen during the final battle of Star Fox 64... personally, I thought this was a much more awesome choice.

What I'm interested in knowing is when Bumpy Trot/Bumpy Trot 2 is due to be released.

Also, that guy is definitely around the hotel. I don't quite remember where... I've never had problems finding him... but he's there, all right.

And that misunderstanding of the whole football stadium bit... yeah. Classic.

That was an unusually serious update. Typically, they don't go into much detail about the nature of the characters changing from and into trophies.

And that replacement (?) for Master Hand looks... interesting, if nothing else.

Breakdown! It's a bit difficult in spots, but the first-person perspective really helps to bring you into the game, and the story's not bad.

Silent Hill 5!

It's been confirmed for the PS3 and the Xbox 360, and there are a few screenshots available on IGN.

Everything you need to know is this way.

Good for you, you have an opinion regarding art's definition. The point is it's not up to the government or the ESRB or the MPAA to decide what is or isn't art. The ESRB and MPAA are content-rating organizations only, and nothing more. Unfortunately, as has been discussed earlier in this thr...

This game has you killing people for what reason again? As best I can tell, because you CAN. I vaguely remember reading somewhere about you playting an inmate at some mental asylum and you're trying to escape or something...either way, it's not very "noble' at all. It doesn't really matter, but the...

Yop, upon further investigation it seems I can find very few redeeming elements at all. There's not much of anything here other than an item-juggling funhouse. The art direction is gaudy, the story is trite, the characters are dull, and the whole thing is as rigid as a stack of bricks. On the other...

Nope, the game is hard; one of the biggest issues tends to be that enemies can still attack you even as you're slashing at them. The entire thing essentially forces you to think about how you're going to carry your attack out; blind buttonsmashing leads to a quick and painful death. It gets even wor...
