If you are into genuinely good platformers Machenstein, I also suggest playing both of the next generation Prince of Persia games, Warrior Within and Sands of Time. I honestly consider both to be the greatest advancement in the 3D platforming genre, despite the lame gothic environment of Warrior Within in comparison to the storybook atmosphere of Sands of Time.

Well, it's as much a platformer as Prince of Persia is.

Platform games are in a broader range now so I'm guessing so.

I bought Ico about a month or two ago. The setting was entirely different from what my premature perceptions were. You know, with a title like Ico, I thought of something like a futuristic shooter or something.

Nah, it was just notion I had when I heard the title. I had done no previous research on the game, so I had no idea what the setting was at all. I thought ICO was an acronym for something, so I guess that was what caused the notion.
Does this make me retarded?

I would like to see a shooter with Ico as the avatar, who can mysteriously fly for some reason, much like in the Shikigami no Shiro series. He could shoot lazers out of the tips of his horns.
And it would be called ICOruga.
